The inception of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is from 1995-96. Our Department crowned itself with the glory by achieving remarkable success in all its activities. Our Department has kept itself abreast in getting sophisticated modern equipments in various laboratories to train the students in the latest technologies in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers the 4-year B.E. Degree course with specialization in Mechanical Engineering. The syllabi and course structure are as per the guidelines of Anna University. The Course is approved by AICTE and started in 1995 with an intake of 60 students, and also affiliated to ANNA University in the year 2002, which was later enhanced to 90 students in the year 2004 and further increased to 120 students in the year 2006.The B.E. Mechanical Engineering Programme has been accredited by NBA, AICTE, New Delhi.
Department of Mechanical Engineering offers PG programme in M.E- CAD/CAM.
