Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  History    
  The department of EEE was established in the year 1998 with an approved intake of 40 students. From inception, the department is growing in all spheres. The sanctioned strength has been enhanced to 60 with effect from 2003 - 2004. This course provide ample knowledge in the main fields of power engineering control systems and electronics. The syllabus are designed to provide a thorough knowledge from the basic ideas to research development. An electrical engineer play a vital role in industries. He can also shine in computer and IT field.

Once in every semester a department magazine "Lightning castle" is published in which articles written by both students and staff of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on latest topics are included. Our department has extended its service to the society by conducting short term courses on "House Wiring" & "Fan Rewinding" for a duration of one week for rural unemployed youth and uneducated house makers to enable them to go for self employment/support.

To produce a minimum of 75% graduates in the academic year 2006 – 2007.

 

To produce at least 25% of graduates with distinctions.

 

To take students for industrial visit at least once in a year.

 

To make at least 75 students to undergo inplant training during summer and winter holidays.

 

Conducting at least 5 aptitude tests in a year for students to help them to improve their aptitude.

 

To encourage the students to participate in paper presentation, quiz competitions at least 5 papers in a year.

 

To motivate the students to take up at least two industrial projects in a year.

 

To motivate the staff to attend at least two – refresher/ training course in a year.

 

To motivate the staff to present papers at least two in National and International conferences.
